WARNING: I have been writing this post for like a week and it is a horrible mish-mosh. But I had to just publish it and be done with, so that it doesn’t give me blogger’s block and prevent me from ever writing a funny or interesting post again. What kind of world would that be?!
The new year always brings on kind of a conundrum for me. For a start, I don’t believe in New Years resolutions – I think that you can make changes to your life at any time you want, and since I am definitely a perpetrator of that well-practiced “I’ll start doing that in January” attitude, I’ve abandoned it favor of what I like to call the Nike method. (Don’t make me say it. But, you know??)
That said, the new year so far has been an exercise in change as well as some really nice consistency. With my recent travel, it’s sometimes felt like any given day is a countdown to a trip or major event, and I don’t really have that right now – but I do have a great new responsibility shift at work that’s keeping me busy and engaged, a fun man to explore Colorado with and lots of movies that I want to see. Not to be totally boring, but do you guys have any good TV on DVD suggestions?
This time last year I was spending a LOT of time up in Boston, Massachusetts visiting loved ones in an effort to get out of Connecticut and stay somewhat sane. These pictures are from an awesome photo day that I took with my aunt Anne about a year and a half ago – I’m looking forward to seeing some beautiful, warm weather again soon!
[These sculptures look exactly like my laptop!]
[there’d better be a sign like this outside of my house when I’m old. YIELD, suckaz!]
[remember fall? yeah, that happened.]
[the happiest of front porches and a frequent asylum for my CT-refugee self]
I hope the new year has been good to all of you so far! Food, funnies and pictures are coming. I swear. Really soon. Seriously. OK?
You go, pretty lady–go Nike on our asses! I hope your 2011 is off to an awesome, happy start. As far as entertainment recommendations go, I freaking bawled my eyes out a few nights ago watching Toy Story 3. It was an amazing movie. I’ve also been into Modern Family, and Reno 911! is always good for a few laughs. Can’t wait to check out the quinoa recipe you sent over! xoxo stay well my lovely friend.
Hm, mooovies… “Extract”, the girl with the dragon tattoo series… also omg Gavi wasn´t Toy Story 3 THE SADDEST movie!?! Amazing, sure, but how morbid! I havent seen my sister cry that hard since Armagedon…
Love the photos, Tess! I miss our adventures in Boston. My moms pink chair better still be there when I get back!!!
