2015: Back in action.

I’ve been thinking about what to write here for a very, VERY long time.

Since I last posted here, I have a) gotten married, b) moved to the Bay area, c) had four (4) different full-time jobs, and d) spent a whooooooole lot of time soul-searching. I started coaching and consulting. I’m getting certified as a personal and corporate coach (whoa!). Tell me more!

You Can Go Home Again (But It Will Be Humid)

I’ve just (ish) returned from an epic, whirlwind tour of the East Coast. And by East Coast, I mean the tri-state area.  And by tri-state area, I mean…never mind. I just got back from the East Coast. Let’s just leave it at that.

I have some observations about the place from whence I hailed (if this is not proper Shakespearean English, I could not be less interested) that I would like to share with you. Please. Sit back, pour yourself some bourbon/wine/water (no judgement) and allow me to regale you with tales of my homeland. Okay, let’s do it.

ZucchiniFest 2011!!

I hate the end of summer.  Why do people insist on making a thing out of it?  Like, we’re depressed enough.  We don’t need to discuss it.

Anyway, my point with all of that is that food is really good, and I’ve been kind of a food blog maniac lately – doing less bloggin’ of my own, and more “research” (letting other people do the work for me and then reading their recipes).

I’ve been diggin’ on seasonal recipes lately, and that’s going to be my focus today.  This blog post is about other blog posts.  Specifically, food.  More specifically, zucchini.  Are you looking for cooking inspiration?  Look no further…well, maybe a bit further.  However, the point of all of this is that zucchini is awesome – you can put it in all kinds of unhealthy things and make yourself feel better, OR you can make previously unhealthy things kind of healthy(ish) by replacing fun foods like potato with zucchini instead.

NOTE: Cheesecloth can be very necessary.  I bought some.  You should, too. Zucchini onward!!

The Maiden Voyage

It’s not that I’ve never had a blog before.  Rather, I’ve had two of my own (short-lived) and contributed to a third (mercifully continued by the more diligent efforts of others), but I’ve never been much for writing things down.

It’s not even that I spend all of my time in the present, as could be argued by those who don’t enjoy reflection and would rather just get out and DO SOMETHING.  It’s just that life ALWAYS seems to get in the way.  I should be writing in my diary/blogging/keeping a journal, but wait!  First I need to: go to the grocery store, search for a new pair of running shoes online, look up the age of retirement in a place I could potentially be interested in living 40 years from now, etc, etc, the list goes on.  There’s always something that takes precedent.
