Back to “Reality?”
Well, unemployment has officially begun (technically, it’s been six days already, but since it was a holiday weekend it took a bit of time to completely sink in). The good news is, my new adventure starts in four days – I leave for Boulder on Saturday!

Turn and Face the Strain
Today is my last day of work in the Alumni and Parent Relations department at Wesleyan! I am so conflicted about how to feel. This job has been literally the best first-job-out-of-college experience I could possibly imagine. The work and (more importantly) the people really made it a joy to come to work every day, and that’s going to be really hard to replicate in the future. (Providing I even find a job. But that’s a story for another day!) I’m gonna keep this short because I need to start packing up my desk (sad face), but this is a weird day. Continue reading “Turn and Face the Strain”
Chalk It Up to Sheer Insanity
Most people who have followed my steady decline into design-blog junkiedom for the past year are somewhat aware of my affinity for chalkboard paint.
I. LOVE. Chalkboard paint. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
Now before you attempt to set me straight (and good luck with that, really), I am MORE than aware of the health issues that can accompany having chalkboard surfaces, and therefore chalk dust, in your home. And yes, I know that chalk gets on your clothes, and that chalk dust floats around in the air, and that all of those things would theoretically detract from the initial appeal of using chalkboard paint to make EVERYTHING in your living space more exciting.
