No Labor Allowed!/I’m Sorry.

Happy Labor Day Weekend!  Okay, now that’s out of the way.

When I first started writing this blog, I did two things.  I a) apologized in advance for what I was sure would be a failed experiment in trying to post regularly, and I b) made that apology look unnecessary by posting virtually every day for like a week.  Like it was all a dirty lie.

Well, listen.  I’m trying, OK?  Every once in a while (read: very often), life gets in the way and I just don’t feel quite interesting enough to be pushing my life/thoughts/photographs/recipes/jokes on other people.  However, I’ll try to include a little bit of all of those in this post to make up for it.  While still keeping it short, because let’s face it, I’m TIRED.

Bada-bing, Bada-boom

Just like that!

This week has been full of crazy changes!  My head is spinning and I’ve barely had a chance to catch my breath.  I’m writing this in a spare five minutes before dashing out to help open the Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children, a great project that’s pretty exhausting, but pretty rewarding plus they pay me so it’s cool.

Turn and Face the Strain

Today is my last day of work in the Alumni and Parent Relations department at Wesleyan!  I am so conflicted about how to feel.  This job has been literally the best first-job-out-of-college experience I could possibly imagine.  The work and (more importantly) the people really made it a joy to come to work every day, and that’s going to be really hard to replicate in the future.  (Providing I even find a job.  But that’s a story for another day!)  I’m gonna keep this short because I need to start packing up my desk (sad face), but this is a weird day.
